Registration

Registration for the ceremony should be made via the University's Graduation Services System (GSS). Please register yourself and your guests (if any) no later than 11:59pm HKT(GMT+8) on November 10, 2024 (Sun).

Guest Tickets

Participating graduates (except for PhD graduates attending Session 1) can bring up to two guests to their ceremony. Guest tickets will be assigned on a first come, first served basis according to your registration time on GSS. Should there be any overflow, guests will be assigned to view a live broadcast of the event from a seat in nearby rooms. 

Graduate Tickets

Please check out what type(s) of ticket you would need to attend the ceremony with details below:

University-wide Sessions (Session 1 – 3)

• Masters & Bachelors graduates 

Masters & Bachelors graduates are NOT eligible to attend University-wide Sessions (Session 1 - 3), except for recipients of the Academic Achievement (AA) Medal. AA Medalists will be presented and awarded on stage during Session 1. 

AA Medalists should collect your Graduate Ticket (aka Name Card) by presenting the Stage Sequence Number sent to you in an arrival kit 3 days prior to your Session date, at the Graduate Ticket Collection Counter, located at CMA Lecture Theater (LT-L), Cheng Yu Tung Building*. You will need this ticket to enter the ceremony venue, and for the Card Reader to read out your name when you are on stage. 

The Counter will open 60 minutes before your session, and close 30 minutes prior to its start. For the detailed schedule, please refer to the timetable below.

• PhD graduates

PhD graduates attending Session 1 will be presented en bloc in your seats. You should present the QR code on the Graduate Ticket sent to you in an arrival kit 3 days prior to your Session date, at the entrance of the Shaw Auditorium for admission to the ceremony.

PhD graduates attending the Hooding Ceremony (Session 2 or 3) should collect your Graduate Ticket (aka Name Card) by presenting the Stage Sequence Number sent to you in an arrival kit 3 days prior to your Session date, at the Graduate Ticket Collection Counter, located at CMA Lecture Theater (LT-L), Cheng Yu Tung Building. You will need this ticket to enter the ceremony venue, and for the Card Reader to read out your name when you are on stage.

School-based Sessions (Session 4 – 22)

• Masters & Bachelors graduates

Graduates attending the School-based Sessions (Session 4 – 22) should collect your Graduate Ticket (aka Name Card) by presenting the Stage Sequence Number sent to you in an arrival kit 3 days prior to your Session date, at the Graduate Ticket Collection Counter at Shaw Auditorium. You will need this ticket to enter the ceremony venue, and for the Card Reader to read out your name when you are on stage. 

The Counter will open 60 minutes before your session, and close 30 minutes prior to its start. For the detailed schedule, please refer to the timetable below.
